Confidence in the housing market is creeping back with the price of property coming onto the market seeing an autumn bounce back.

oct 2016 propertymarketTraditionally, a key selling period, this year is no exception despite earlier setbacks following the EU referendum and Brexit. Gary Holland, partner at leading estate agent, Holland Broadbridge explains:

“While we have experienced some setbacks this year, the autumn market is experiencing an upsurge in new stock and a resurgence from buyers seeking to move and complete on property purchases prior to Christmas."

“Since the EU referendum and Theresa May’s appointment as Prime Minister, there have been few changers to the Government’s housing strategy. We will eagerly await Phillip Hammond’s first major statement since his appointment as Chancellor of the Exchequer on November 23, which will outline how Government proposes to boost the economy. His statement is expected to include measures to help smaller house builders, including a £3m housing fund to ‘Get Britain Building’ , thereby having a springboard effect for existing home owners."

Holland Broadbridge offers free valuations to all vendors. Please call the sales team on 01743 357000 (option 1) to book an appointment this autumn.
